We have known John for over 15 years and he has trained all three of our dogs; Scruffy (15 year old Cairn Terrier), Dottie (13 year old Cairn Terrier) and Rocky (7 year old Boxer) and us as well. Scruffy was our first terrier and we were not prepared for this very smart little powerhouse. He was definitely a handful and although we've had dogs all our lives and thought we knew quite a bit about training, Scruffy was a clear-cut challenge and we knew we needed professional help.. John and Scruff hit it off right away and it showed almost immediately because Scruffy not only began to follow both verbal commands and hand signals, but even displayed his agility abilities. Even with all this training though we still had a problem with Scruffy's almost endless energy. John suggested aggressiontraining, which we reluctantly agreed to. Well, to our amazement, Scruffy became the star of the class and actually outshone the more traditional breeds usually associated with aggression training (Pit Bulls, Dobermans, etc.). As a matter of fact John used Scruffy as a demonstrator regularly and took him to quite a few shows. Little did we know that our little “attack dog” was the real thing until my wife Arlene was walking him one night and was approached by a couple of questionable characters. She keyed Scruffy and to her astonishment, he not only protected her, but chased off both assailants. When we got Dottie there was no question about who would train her and she too responded to and retained John's training far better than anything we could have done on our own. When Rocky came along we again asked for John's expertise and having worked with numerous boxer's before he was able to give us a lot of good breed related advice as well as perform his miracle and give us another great dog that works well both on and off leash and is a real joy to have in our family. We are complimented all the time on how well our dogs act. John has a definite symbiosis with dogs and it shows because our dogs love him and always go bananas whenever they see him.. We highly recommend John; he not only takes the time to work with the dogs and owners, but makes the experience fun, knowledgeable and enjoyable for all. |

| I was formally a American Bulldog breeder and was a top notch breeder in the New England area. My dogs have been titled in both show and working events. When I met John about 12 years ago, I hired him to work and train all my dogs prior to going to the shows. He always got my dogs in tip top shape. I have to thank John for helping my dogs win at the shows. |

| Dear John, When I first came to you with my first dog that really had extreme health problems, in which you were extremely compassionate. And replacing her with Saber a rotty cross that weighed about 145 pounds which I though was going to be way to big for me to handle. Although I really wanted a guard dog he looked way to big for me to handle, as well as my sons which were not able to handle a dog of that size. And after coming over and working with you and Saber one on one I felt extremely confident due to your experience in dealing with Dogs as well as people. I was able to take him home within two weeks of doing classes with John and Saber, and after taking him home I felt a lot of nervousness due to hi size. And after calling John and he came right away and got me over the fear and helped me and him, and got us on the same page as though he was their for years. After that I have had high regards for John and his choice of a dog that would be a fit for my family. Loyal, extremely obedient, and the best watch dog. I can't say enough but my gratitude to John. Thank you John, Charlene& sons |
